Leni Riefenstahl Original Signed Film Documents and Receipts Autograph Notes

This listing is for a set of documents which belonged to Leni Riefenstahl during her film career. The papers include Leni's signature on one page, and a lot of handwriting on others. The winner will receive the following items.

An invoice from the Turtle Bay Hotel in Nairobi Kenya, billed to Helen Jacobs via "Leni Riefenstahl Film". This invoice has been hand-signed by Riefenstahl as Leni! This is a fascinating piece of her career. Riefenstahl was in Nairobi as she made her way to Sudan for her famous photography work with the Nuba tribe.

And while traveling, she apparently used the name "Helen Jacobs". Her real first name was Helen. And in 1944, she married Peter Jacob.

However, she divorced Peter just two years later, in 1946. So it's interesting to see such a unique variation of her name used here. Perhaps she was trying to remain incognito, or maybe she just thought that an English-fluent African hotel would have an easier time with "Helen Jacobs" than " Leni Riefenstahl ". A trimmed document from "Leni Riefenstahl Film", noted as a "einlage in kasse" (or "deposit in cash").

This document confirms that Leni's account withdrew 700 Deutschmarks. A receipt from "Kaufhof" for supplies.

The black ink appears to be in the hand of the clerk, while the blue ink appears to be in Riefenstahl's hand. A receipt from " Schlafer " for supplies. Again, the black ink appears to be in the hand of the clerk, while the blue ink appears to be in Riefenstahl's hand. The winner will receive the exact documents in the photos, so please refer to those for a closer look. Thank you for viewing this listing!
